Joshua Riba of the Pinellas County State’s Attorney office will speak to the North Pinellas Republican Club (NPRC) at their monthly meeting on Thursday, April 17th and will be discussing Gang Crime in Pinellas County. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM – Social time 6:30 PM; meetings are held at the Conservative Action Center, 3150 Tampa Rd Oldsmar, Ste. 16 34677 (Suite faces Curlew Rd., next to Eve’s Restaurant).
Mr. Riba is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of Florida Law School. He is a past member of the St. Petersburg Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. In St. Pete he was a member of the SWAT team, worked Street Narcotics, was a field training officer and a detective in the Vice & Narcotics Unit. At the Sheriff’s Office, he was a road deputy before becoming a detective in the Narcotics Division. With the State’s Attorney, he prosecutes gang members and their associates and works with local, state and Federal law enforcement officials.
